interchageable parts

Post by pocopeso » Sun Mar 6th, 2011 1:53

I saw a 1950 Dodge yesterday at a salvage yard with all the chrome in good shape. Which pieces will fit my 49 4 door Plymouth (and maintain factory design)?
Thanks

I don't believe there is much interchangeability between Plymouth and Dodge body and trim. The interchangeable stuff is the like the engine, drivetrain, electrical components, and lot of small items: bearings, seals, etc.

Some of the suspension pieces fit as well .... rims and lug bolts should. Master cylinder, many of the fasteners ... fender bolts and such. Radiator ..... fan motors ... most of that will fit as well. Radio will work usually too if its a 603 or an 803 or an 807 Philco. Clock fits too.

Thanks for the feedback. So far what I know that is missing is back bumper and the chrome below the doors (and lots of time and money).

Does the VIN 203235I3. Body number 705-E 14959
