Looking for a 49 Convertible

Post by lodgeskins » Sun Jan 9th, 2011 9:29

Hi all, I am looking for a decent 49 convertible to be enjoyed, not a show car. It's to be a gift for my father. I think the one he used to have was yellow, so a yellow one would be preferable. Thanks for any leads, Mike

Thanks for the leads!
Does this one look like a decent deal?

I really have no idea what these are worth and appreciate your opinions.
Best, Mike

I was looking at that one some time ago, myself. If you can find one under $20k, it's worth investigating.
Of course, you'll want to check it out or have a certified inspector do it for you, if it is out of town.
Running gear and front end assemblies are important (Ball joints, etc)

Give them a call. It may need some minor work, but they are worth it. We love ours.
Good luck

There was (is?) one on eBay right now .... a project for sure but a "buy it now" price of $7,500.
