Horn switch

Post by Root Beer Stand » Fri Oct 31st, 2008 2:34

Need to get to the horn switch.

The manual shows to remove the medallion and from the pictures it looks like a 1/8 turn but can't budge the sucker!

Another special tool maybe? LOL

Any help or tips?

Thanks in advance!

Are you asking how to remove the horn button from the steering wheel? There are three screws to remove from the back of the steering wheel and that will free the button and the ring. Get ready to catch it because there is a spring under the horn button.

Yep! Got er off!

Going to work on the horn today. Took the Grandkids trick or treating Thursday evening and the horn just stopped working.

After a short trouble shoot noticed the wire going thru the steering colum just slid out. Broke inside somewhere!

Wish I knew how to get the pic off the PDF manual and post it here so you could see what I thought I saw.

Thanks Paul!
