painting car

Post by gary_lehocky » Mon Dec 29th, 2003 11:39

I am just about ready to paint my 49 and was wondering if anyone can tell be about how much I can expect to pay. It will need sanded, primed and an enamel undercoat with a clear coat finish. Since the color will be changed all the openings will have to be painted also. Thanks for the help.

Painting your car is one of the things you have to take care about. If you are going to use undercoat with a clear coat finishing to your car, you will probably cost not more that $100. It was the same value I spent to my 1968 Ford Mustang.

Gary ... I got a bid on one of my club coupes and that was $5000 if I did all of the trim, grille and bumper re-install. They would do the body work, sanding, priming and painting ... base coat / clear coat. I passed.
